Package informationNewborns are best photographed between the age of 6 - 12 days old. Newborn posed sessions generally take 2-3 hours are held in my home studio in Vista. Newborn lifestyle sessions take 1.5 hours and can be done in your home or my home studio. All sessions include family and sibling photos. All Newborn packages include 10 complimentary birth announcements, extra are available to purchase. All digital photos that you choose to include in your package are sent to you via a link to download. All products available for purchase are made in Australia, supporting local businesses. Sneak peaks from your session are added to my Facebook or Instagram with your permission. Package One $850-15 full resolution retouched digital photos

Newborn Session Information
This is a guide that includes tips on how to get the most out of your session, and what to expect during your session and after.
Before your Newborn session
It is a good idea to let me know what colours you like for your Newborn photos. That way I can have my studio set up and ready for when you arrive. I have everything in my studio we need for the newborn portraits but you're welcome to bring anything you'd like to include in the photos.
It is great if your baby is sleepy for the session, your baby will need to be asleep for most of the posed photos (poses on tummy and side)
Some tips for a sleepy baby are-
Do not drink coffee on the day if you're breast feeding. Give your baby a bath in the morning and then try to keep them awake until you get to my studio. (I know this may be easier said than done! It's worth a try though :) ) It's best not to have the session just after your baby has had their immunization shots done.
Sessions usually take 2.5 - 3 hours, but if we don't get enough photos, we can extend the session until you are happy with the photos we have taken.
What to bring
Newborn sessions generally take 2.5- 3 hours so feel free to bring some snacks or lunch with you.
You may like to bring an outfit change for yourself and partner for the family photos. If your baby uses a dummy, it would be really helpful to bring it along to help settle them. Bring enough formula for feeds, you can use my kitchen/microwave/kettle to warm up the formula. You are welcome to bring any special blankets, wraps, accessories or teddies for the photos, just let me know when you arrive for the session. Feel free to bring a book, magazine to read or tablet etc. I have some comfy chairs to relax in.
Siblings
I usually do the photos with siblings first as they can become bored and impatient quickly.
Sometimes toddlers don't want to cooperate when having their photo taken, I always get a couple of nice photos though, even if they are more candid ones of them looking at their baby brother/sister. If you have a toddler that isn't willing to cooperate, I can't guarantee that I will get a family photo with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. (I do my absolute best though)
What to wear
Fitted clothing is most flattering. Avoid logos, stripes, checks. It's best for only one member of the family to have clothing with patterned fabric. Try to match up your outfits as best as you can, with no colours that clash. I can send you some outfit guides if you are unsure. With dark clothing, lint shows up a lot in photos, so try to de-fluff your dark clothes as much as you can. Creases in clothing show up a lot as well, so it's a good idea to bring your clothes and change into them here if you think your clothes will crease easily.
After your Newborn session
Your photos will be ready to view within one week of your photography session.
I will email you a link to your gallery and then you choose which photos you would like by clicking on the star at the bottom of each photo. These are the photos that are printed in 5x7 size.
*The gallery will be online for two weeks for you to make your selection.
10 free birth announcements are included in all Newborn packages.
I will send you a copy of the birth announcement to check over before I send to print.
The birth announcement cards are free and can't be swapped for other prints/digital files.
You are able to upgrade your package at any time and add extra digital files, prints, albums etc.
My home studio is in Vista. It is a calm, warm environment and free from clutter. It is the perfect environment to capture your Newborn, Family & Maternity portraits.
